Best OKC Photo Session Locations
Looking for the perfect backdrop for your senior pictures or family photo session in Oklahoma City? You’re in the right place! As an OKC photographer, I know how much a great location can level up your photos. You’ve already planned your outfits (or at least started thinking about it, right?)—but location? That’s what really sets the vibe.
You know those dreamy, save-to-Pinterest-board kinds of photos? They all have one thing in common: the setting works hand in hand with the subject to create something magical. Location matters—and yay for us because the Oklahoma City area is packed with amazing options!
Here are 7 of my current favorite OKC photo spots to spark some ideas for your next session.
Myriad Botanical Gardens
A classic—and for good reason. Between the flowers, trees, modern architecture, and skyline peeks, it gives you so much variety in one walkable spot. Whether you're a high school senior looking for bold color or a family wanting natural beauty, this garden nails it every time.
Downtown OKC Streets
If you love a city vibe, downtown OKC brings it. Think modern sidewalks, bold architecture, and historic buildings. You can even pair it with a nearby park like Myriad Gardens for a mix of urban and natural.
Rooftop Parking Garage
This one might sound basic, but trust me—those rooftop views are anything but. Wide open skies, the city skyline behind you, and no foot traffic to dodge. Perfect for clean, dramatic shots that let your outfit shine.
Will Rogers Gardens
If cozy, woodsy, and floral is your vibe, this spot is a hidden gem. Especially beautiful in the fall, it has lush trees, peaceful water features, and colorful blooms. Easy to access, free to park, and full of gorgeous photo ops.
Scissortail Park
This newer park is really growing into itself—but it already offers great spots for both seniors and families. The Skydance Bridge is iconic, and you'll find other bridges, city views, and even Union Station for that vintage touch. You can't beat the downtown OKC skyline views you'll get from here either.
Midtown / Automobile Alley
Want something funky or artsy? This neighborhood is full of character. Think murals, railroad tracks, fun architecture, and even spots to grab a coffee mid-session. Get the look of a small downtown, but with the OKC skyline behind you. It’s vibrant, walkable, and never boring.
Boathouse District
This one's underrated—but I’m obsessed with the reflections and clean lines here. You’ve got river views, modern shapes, and skyline backdrops. Bonus: walk across Lincoln Blvd and you’ll find the tail end of the Bricktown Canal for a totally different vibe—without driving anywhere.

OKC is packed with awesome photo spots—these are just a few of my faves. I haven’t even touched on Lake Hefner, Arcadia, or tucked-away gems in Uptown and Paseo.
