That's a Wrap, 2024!

Looking Back on an Amazing Year

This year has been another amazing one for the books! I still pinch myself sometimes that I get to call this my job. Four years into running this biz, and I am more thankful than ever.

To all my incredible clients, friends, and family who’ve supported me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you booked a session, liked a post, or read my emails, you’ve helped make this dream possible, and I’m so so grateful! 🫶

Senior Sessions

This was the year of the boys, and I loved it! Photographing guys who start out shy and end up enjoying themselves is always a fun challenge. From everything like a car enthusiast to a gamer, a football player, and a musician, every session was unique and a blast to shoot. I think a couple of them even enjoyed themselves a little bit. 🤫But don't tell them I told you that.

Of course, my high school senior girls brought their A game too, choosing amazing outfits and creating sessions full of personality. A major highlight was shooting senior photos for my second cousin, Dakota. Now she's all grown up and looking absolutely gorgeous.  Another senior brought her bf along for a few shots and they are just the cutest!

One big milestone? My very first college senior session! I worked with an incredible OU grad, capturing her on the gorgeous campus in Norman. I loved it and can't wait to shoot more college senior graduation pictures!

Each senior session this year was a privilege, and I’m so thankful to have been part of these special moments for the seniors and their families.

Branding Sessions

This year I also got to flex my creative muscles with some branding sessions. One of them was for Stephanie. We had so much fun together, like "so much fun it shouldn't be allowed" fun! She really put a lot of thought into planning, from her outfits and props to the details she gave me about her unique approach as a realtor. We actually used space at a wedding venue, the Lodge at Pryor Place, as the backdrop, and it worked perfectly. It was fun and refreshing to think outside the box and capture photos that matched her genuine personality and professional brand. Did I mention I love branding sessions? 😉

Family Sessions

Surprisingly, my favorite session of the year wasn’t even a senior session—it was a family one! 😯 But it was for one of my senior girls from last year, so that kind of counts right? I got to photograph her with her family right before she left for college. We did the shoot at their home, and it was so full of love, laughter, and even a few tears. Documenting that bittersweet moment of transition was so powerful. These photos weren’t just pretty pictures—they told a story.  And that’s the kind of work that I live for!

I also got to capture some photos for an extended family session at the beautiful Lendonwood Gardens in Grove. It was so great that everyone came together to get a nice extended family portrait done as part of their family reunion. Plus we were able to capture some immediate family photos too that they can cherish for years to come.

This year was truly amazing, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead! From senior milestones to family memories to creative branding sessions, every moment has been such a gift.

Thank you for letting me do what I love and for trusting me to capture your stories. Looking forward to another year of adventure, connection, and beautiful photos with all of you!
