OKLAHOMA CITY COLLEGE SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

I am so excited to share my first ever college senior session with you today! Meet India, a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma. (Boomer Sooner baby!) And this very impressive girl isn’t finished yet. She’s moving on to Boston this month to attend medical school where she plans to specialize in pediatric oncology.

India is one of the coolest, most unique people I’ve ever met. She’s very mature for her age, obviously smart and super easygoing. And adorable! Fun fact: she is not, I repeat NOT on social media! At all. And she’s got no plans to be. She’s very confident in who she is and I think it’s so awesome that she feels no pressure to do it. Instead she spends her time reading and volunteering at the children’s hospital. Mic drop. Like I said, super cool girl! The thing she was most excited about for our shoot was to capture this special moment in her life.

We took her photos on the OU campus in Norman. I LOVE doing senior sessions there! (Check out Abiel's and Rinnah's session) Everywhere you look between the buildings and the grounds is so pretty. There are tons of perfect photo opps for senior pictures! We hit up the usual spots like the OU clock tower, in front of the library and in the North Oval. India’s favorite subjects were Chemistry and Biology, and the Chemistry building is one of her favorites. So you’ll notice I took a lot of shots there to be sure I personalized the pictures for her.

We had a gorgeous evening! And since the session was after graduation, we missed the rush of senior photos and pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was awesome! She did the traditional white dress with cap and gown photos, which I love. But she also brought along a pretty summer dress and a casual jeans outfit for more variety. I think that’s a great idea so you can have more than just the usual cap and gown shots in your college senior photos. She mentioned to me how she also needed photos for her resume. This is another great reason for college grads to have a senior session with multiple outfits. Mark the milestone, AND get some updated headshots for future resumes and applications. Win-win!
