MIDTOWN OKC BOY SENIOR PHOTO SESSION

I’m back with another awesome boy senior session to share with you! Meet Jackson, a senior from Harrah. This highly entertaining guy is very into playing bass guitar, acting, drawing & writing, and playing Warhammer. (ngl, had to look that one up!) His favorite subject in high school is theater. After graduating he plans to study History or Business in college.

Jackson is one of the most colorful characters I’ve ever photographed. He kept me laughing the whole time! Just when I’d get the “picture perfect” shot, he would put on a hilarious silly face. I couldn’t help myself from taking those shots too. I’ve included a few of them below. It’s easy to see why this guy loves theater. He is a natural born performer!

This wasn’t my first time taking pictures of Jackson. A few years ago, I took photos of his family. When his mom reached out to me about doing Jackson’s senior pictures, I was thrilled! Between the theatrics, guitar and game props, and me accidentally walking off without my step stool at one point, there was never a dull moment at this session.

Let’s talk about the details. First, location. Jackson already knew he wanted some mural art in his photos. It’s so awesome how many options there are for that around OKC! We chose a couple of murals around Midtown. Second, props. Jackson plays bass guitar, acts and loves Warhammer. I was so excited to come up with creative ideas to show all of that! We took some great photos of him with his guitar. And we even found a table for him to set up a few of his game pieces. I took close-up shots of the pieces because he assembled and hand-painted each one! Pretty impressive. We will be doing a second set of photos this year to bring in his love of theater and acting. I’ll update this blog once we’ve done them.

Thank you Jackson for letting me take your senior pictures and entertaining me! It was a blast and I can’t wait for round 2! Thank you Jackson’s mom for being a repeat client and trusting me to take these special photos for you! It was an honor.

Favorite moment: It’s really hard to pick. Jackson’s funny faces were a constant favorite. I think it was when I took the close-up shots of the game pieces and showed him on my camera. His face LIT UP. He was so happy to have them!

Each senior gets my personal attention to create a photo session that is unique to them. We can be as creative or as simple as you want. Senior year is the perfect time to celebrate YOU. Trust me, you'll be happy when you look back in 10+ years that you have these photos. Plus you can make you mom happy. Win-Win!
