FAMILIES
POV: when one of your favorite seniors messages you and asks if you can take some family photos before she leaves for college….
Um, YES PLEASE!
I love this family so much! They are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Their story is crazy interesting. And the love and closeness they share among the three of them is so special!
You'll probably recognize this gorgeous girl from around my website. If you want to see the blog post of her senior session (you do) CLICK HERE.

We did the session at their family home. It was so beautiful and really made the photos personal and relaxed. It was a gorgeous August evening and not too crazy hot, considering.
First we took some at the edge of their yard with the most perfect grassy field and trees behind them. They really wanted their photos to capture their love and closeness, so we did a mix of smiling portrait images and lifestyle photos. Lifestyle photos are more candid and allow you to interact with each other. This leads to images that show authentic relationships and love between couples and families. They are the best way to document your family, imo. 😉
I also made sure to take some of just the mom and daughter, dad and daughter, etc. along with photos of all three of them. This not only gives you more variety in your gallery, but is also important to document these unique relationships.
After the field pics, we moved up closer to the house and took some on the front sidewalk with their lovely wraparound porch and house in the background. We also snapped a few quick photos with their three dogs. They were so adorable and overall behaved well. The youngest one who is still a puppy, and basically like a toddler, broke free and started running towards me. It was so cute and gave us all a good laugh.
Next I took some shots of just the parents. It’s always good to make sure you get a few like this at a family session. Theirs were so sweet and really show the love they have for each other.
As a little bonus, I suggested to Montana that she wear some college gear in a few shots. These were so fun and a great way to document the start of her career as a student at OU, which was beginning the next week.
The last shot below is one of my favorites from the whole session. It really tells the story of the bittersweet moment when your daughter is about to leave for college. Yep, there were a few tears happening. But I know the parents will cherish these photos and memories of this special time in all their lives, and I’m so glad they let me take them.
Wright Family: You guys are the absolute best! Getting to meet clients like you is one of the reasons I love what I do so much. As I was editing your photos, I was smiling at the screen like a weirdo because your photos were so fun, happy and loving that I couldn’t help it! I am so, so honored that you gave me the privilege to take these photos of your beautiful family at this special time in your lives. 💖
FAVORITE MOMENT:
There were so many great moments. But I think it has to be when the puppy broke free because she just couldn’t contain herself anymore, and I got the split second shot of her running right at the camera. Priceless!
LOVE this one!!!
STUNNING.
favorite moment money shot 😆
IMPOSSIBLE to narrow down these adorable mom and daughter photos so you're getting all of them! sorry, not sorry.
