As a photographer, sometimes you win the weather lottery and sometimes you don’t. This time I won the jackpot. The weather for these senior pictures was absolutely perfect. With a capital P perfect. Perfect temp, no wind and great light. Ahhh my photographer's heart was singing!

DOWNTOWN OKC BOY SENIOR PHOTO SESSION

Ok, weather-gushing over. I am so excited to share this senior boy session with you today! Meet Caden, a senior from Bridge Creek. This handsome guy is very into sports, especially football. His favorite subject in high school is History. After graduating he plans to get a degree in Business Administration and also become certified to teach and coach football.

To be honest, when Caden answered on his senior questionnaire that what he was most looking forward to from his photos was “to get it over with” I literally LOL’d…and was a little worried. But turns out he’s funny and was so kind to me. Yes, he mostly did this session to make his mom happy (extremely good reason btw) but he was such a good sport and did whatever I asked of him without complaining.

Downtown is one of the best locations in Oklahoma City for photo sessions. It’s the perfect choice when you’re wanting a modern, city vibe with different backgrounds. We took all of these photos within a two block radius and you can see how much variety of architecture and city backdrops there are! It was perfect for a boy senior session. If you want to see other senior sessions of mine that include this area click here and here.

It was also awesome that he brought along more than one outfit! Having multiple looks is a great way to get variety in your senior gallery. But most senior guys aren’t into changing their clothes a bunch of times. Problem solved! Bring multiple top layers to change out the look of your senior boy outfits. Caden only completely changed once, but notice how many different looks he had.

I was so happy that he brought his letterman jacket and a football so we could include his love of the game in his pictures. I could tell they were his favorite to take and he will be so happy he has them later on. Bringing along props and personal items make your senior photos unique and really put the "you" in them.

Thank you Caden for tolerating me and letting me take your senior pictures! It was a pleasure to do it and meet you and your awesome mom!

Favorite moment: when I was stepping up on my step stool to take a shot and I almost lost my balance. Then I asked him if he would have laughed at me if I fell and without hesitation and a straight face, he said "Yes." I love the brutal honesty, man!

LOVE his smile in this one!

Just say yes to props!

This one came out so cool!
