SENIORS

OKLAHOMA CITY SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

I really don’t know where to begin with this senior session gallery post. I knew this day was coming but it’s still hard to believe. This is Samantha, who I have known since the day she was born, who called me “Re-Ro” when she was little, who was the flower girl in my wedding 11 years ago and who is now graduating high school and is all grown up! (I’m not crying, you’re crying!)

OKLAHOMA CITY GIRL SENIOR PHOTO SESSION

Samantha was my CJ Senior of the year, so I did a quick session with her in the fall and another snow session in the winter. Then we did the big kahuna spring session a couple of weeks ago. I am completely biased, but this girl is so special to me and her photos are so beautiful and I’m thrilled that she trusted me to take them for her. Her gallery really captures her “little bit shy, little bit sassy and fun” personality.

We took a few fall photos last year at Shannon Springs Park in Chickasha. We found the BEST tree with perfect golden leaves on it and I was even able to do some foreground photos with them that really came out pretty. We also got a couple on the steps of a building on the campus of USAO where she wore the red hoodie sporting one of her favorite bands. (I love that!)

Then, I was soooo excited when we got the most perfect snow back in January and met up at the park in Tuttle to do a quick winter themed photoshoot. Those are some of my favorite photos of Samantha. We were freezing but it was so much fun. I think she definitely channeled her “Lorelai Gilmore in the first snow of the season” vibes. (If you know, you know and we can be besties.)

Our spring senior session was all in downtown and midtown Oklahoma City locations. City photos are some of my favorites to capture. We walked around some blocks downtown where I could get some street, crosswalk and tall buildings pictures.

Then, for our second location, Samantha found the coolest spot I didn’t know existed but am so happy now that I do. The Classen Inn! It is a renovated motel that has the best retro mid-century theme with the coolest patio and mural and colors. I kind of want to stay there even though I live here. Those photos were definitely some of my favorites. (I feel like I say that a lot. Yes, yes I do. But I really mean it every time!)

We ended the session on the rooftop of the 123 garage. I especially like this garage because it’s just far enough away from downtown that you can really get a great cityscape in the background of your images. The sunset got a little cloudy on us, but that gave us some cool diffused light for Samantha’s final pictures.

And to Sam (since I know you’ll actually read this blog because it’s about you haha) I’m so proud of you for your accomplishments. You have become a beautiful young lady and I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do next. I love you so much.

Enjoy the gallery!

Favorite moments: Every time I needed Samantha to do the giggle pictures I had to remember one of my best dad jokes to tell her, and she would always start really laughing, then I would start really laughing and it was so fun! Good times.
