Shooting an outdoor photo session on the last weekend of November is a bit of a gamble. I am no gambler, let me be clear. But, I will take a chance on the Oklahoma bi-polar weather if it means getting to plan for a fall family session with an awesome family! Well, Oklahoma, you came through for me this time. I could not believe the absolutely PERFECT day we had for this session. Not only was the weather so pleasant, I also found this amazing gorgeous tree still loaded down with perfect golden leaves. The wind hadn’t gotten to that one yet. (If you’re from Oklahoma, you know, the wind is the fall foliage’s biggest enemy.) I was so excited when I found it! You will see it featured in quite a few of the photos below.

So enough about my gushing on the weather and the fall color. Let’s talk about the awesome family I mentioned earlier. Hello Johnson family! If these kiddos look a little familiar, that’s because you’ve seen them before, although they have grown up quite a bit since the last session we did. Check out their adorable country farm session from a year and a half ago here.

Anyway, the kids are the sweetest and this family is the best! I love the variety of shots we got from traditional family photos to super fun and sweet candids. Of course, you know which are my favorites if you’ve been following me any length of time. (Pssst…the candids! Always the candids!) I hope you enjoy scrolling through this beautiful session and checking out all the special moments and shots we were able to capture. Think this mom and dad are going to look back in 5 years and regret they spent one hour of their weekend capturing these family moments? Yeah, me either.

Favorite moment: When I asked Brice if he would allow a hug from his sister, and the reaction I got when she grabbed him! Priceless and hilarious! (See photo below)
